Project overview
This project at 406–2412 Wyndham Road, Morningside involved producing high-quality 3D visual content for a proposed child care facility. The visuals were required to clearly communicate the design intent while grounding the proposal in its real-world context.
Visual Spaces was engaged to create a set of architectural renders supported by aerial photography, allowing stakeholders to understand how the development would sit within the existing streetscape and surrounding environment.
3D renders for planning and presentation
The primary deliverables for this project were 3D exterior renders of the proposed child care facility. These were developed to support planning, approvals, and early-stage presentations, with a focus on:
- Clear building form and massing
- Relationship to neighbouring properties
- Material intent and façade articulation
- Overall scale and site integration
The renders were produced with clean, neutral lighting and realistic textures to ensure they could be used across multiple stages of the project, from internal review through to external communication.
Aerial photography and CGI montage integration
To strengthen realism and context, Visual Spaces captured aerial photography of the existing site and surrounds. These aerial images were then carefully merged with the 3D renders to create real-life-like CGI montages.
This approach allowed the proposed development to be viewed within its actual environment, helping decision-makers and stakeholders better assess:
- Site positioning and access
- Surrounding built form and vegetation
- Overall presence within the Morningside area
By combining real aerial capture with CGI, the final visuals avoided the detached feel that purely digital renders can sometimes have.
Visual clarity for early-stage development decisions
This project highlights the value of blending accurate site photography with considered 3D visualisation. The final outputs provided a clear, practical representation of the proposed child care facility, suitable for planning submissions, stakeholder discussions, and early marketing use.
