Drone View Line Photography for 14–22 Meron Street, Southport
June 4, 2025 - 3 minutes readZen Group engaged Visual Spaces to deliver precise drone view line photography and aerial perspective imagery for their proposed development at 14–22 Meron Street, Southport. The aim was to visualize future outlooks, view corridors, and height-based sightlines from each major level — supporting design decisions, council submissions, and buyer engagement.

Project Overview & Importance of View Corridors
Located in the Southport Priority Development Area, the project features a 10-storey tower with 69 long-term rental apartments and mezzanine townhomes. Because it borders Broadwater Parklands and the Southport CBD, visualizing the height-based perspectives and line-of-sight corridors from different floors was essentia
Our Approach to Height-Based View Capture
Using a DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise drone equipped with RTK precision, we captured high-resolution aerial perspective photos from multiple floor heights. Each capture was aligned with architectural plans, ensuring proper elevation-based view mapping at slab heights like 15 m, 21 m, 27 m, and 33 m.
Deliverables: Drone View Line Imagery & Interactive Viewer
The final deliverables included:
- Drone View Line Photography from selected levels (15m, 21m, 27m, 33m)
- Multiple lens formats, 24mm standard views, 180° and 360° panoramic
- An interactive web viewer so stakeholders can switch between levels and explore view lines in context

Why View Line Photography is Essential for Developers
View line photography transforms architectural drawings into experienced perspectives. It helps:
- Architects assess visual impact and make informed design choices
- Developers understand the value of each unit’s outlook
- Buyers and investors see what future views will look like, long before construction begins
- Planners and consultants use verified visuals in supporting documents and presentations
With our interactive viewer, Zen Group could present development view corridor captures rather than static files, enabling clearer communication with stakeholders.
Outcome
The drone imagery, viewer, and height view simulations are now integral to the design, marketing, and planning stages. They help clarify site relationships, test sightline dynamics, and underline the spatial value of each level.
